“Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends” (Jn 15:13).
All religious, called to the perfect love of God and neighbor, must contribute, at least with prayer, sacrifice and good example, to the salvific mission of the Church.
But, with our special vow of hospitality, we, Hospitaler Sisters of Mercy have assumed the grave and meritorious task of offering the Church an active collaboration which is concretized above all in the direct or indirect care of the sick.
In order that our specific activity becomes truly meaningful we seek to animate and nourish it with an intense interior life, according to the admonition of the Master: “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me, and I in him; he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing” (Jn 15:5).
